About This Program

New Mexico's Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps income-eligible working families pay for licensed child care. Families choose their own provider from licensed or registered facilities. The state pays providers directly at reimbursement rates; families contribute a sliding-scale co-payment. New Mexico has expanded eligibility in recent years to reach more working families.

Subsidy covers portion of childcare costs based on income; family pays sliding-scale co-payment
