About This Program

The federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (Solar ITC) allows Anchorage homeowners to claim 30% of their solar PV system installation cost as a federal income tax credit. Alaska has no state income tax, making the federal ITC the primary solar incentive. AHFC's weatherization programs and Chugach Electric Association rebates may stack with the ITC. Average Anchorage system: $18,000–$28,000 before incentives.
