About This Program

New for 2026: Fulton County voters approved landmark senior homestead exemptions taking effect this year. Homeowners age 65–69 receive a 25% reduction in assessed value for Fulton County School District taxes; homeowners age 70+ receive a 50% reduction. No income requirement. Additionally, City of Atlanta seniors 65+ now receive a $50,000 exemption on Atlanta Public Schools taxes with no income cap.

Annual recurring tax savings — apply once; exemption renews automatically. Consult assessor for estimated savings.
