About This Program

Qualifying disabled veterans and their surviving spouses are exempt from all Georgia ad valorem property taxes (state, county, municipal, and school) on their primary homestead. The exemption equals the greater of $32,500 or the maximum VA-authorized amount under 38 USC ยง2102, set at approximately $121,812 for 2025. Extends to un-remarried surviving spouses and minor children. No income requirement.
