About This Program

Alabama's Child Care Assistance Program provides subsidies to income-eligible working families to help pay for licensed child care. Families choose from participating licensed providers. The state pays providers directly at reimbursement rates based on the provider's quality level in the Alabama Quality STARS system. Families contribute a sliding-scale co-payment.
