About This Program

The City of Chicago's Invest South/West initiative includes the Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) which provides grants up to $150,000 for commercial and industrial building improvements in targeted South and West Side neighborhoods. The Storefront Modernization Program offers matching grants for exterior improvements. Chicago also offers the CDFI-backed Neighborhood Opportunity Fund for businesses in disinvested commercial corridors.
