TDHCA's My First Texas Home program offers first-time homebuyers a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage with a down payment and closing cost assistance grant of up to 5% of the loan amount. The program is available for FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans. Income and purchase price limits apply by county. Buyers must complete an approved homebuyer education course.
