Florida Department of Education, Early Learning
Florida's School Readiness (SR) program provides child care subsidies to low-income working families through the state's 30 Early Learning Coalitions. Families choose from licensed child care providers participating in School Readiness. The program prioritizes children at-risk, children of teen parents, and children in welfare transition. Providers must participate in Florida's Quality rating system.
Subsidy covers portion of childcare costs based on income; family pays sliding-scale co-payment
