About This Program

Homeowners who are paraplegic, hemiplegic, or totally and permanently disabled and must use a wheelchair for mobility, or who are legally blind, may be exempt from all property taxes on their homestead if their gross household income does not exceed $37,712 (2026 limit). This is separate from veteran exemptions and does not require military service. Apply at the Duval County Property Appraiser's office with documentation of disability.
