About This Program

25% Missouri state tax credit on qualified rehabilitation expenses for certified historic structures. Property must be listed on the National Register of Historic Places (individually or within a district) or in a certified local historic district. Total rehab costs must exceed 50% of the building's basis. Kansas City has many qualifying historic neighborhoods. Stack with the Federal 20% Historic Tax Credit for up to 45% total. Apply at ded.mo.gov.
