Minnesota Department of Human Services
Minnesota's Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps low-income families pay for child care so parents can work, attend school, or participate in employment training. Families choose licensed family child care or child care center providers. Benefits are paid directly to the provider, with families contributing a co-payment based on income and family size.
Subsidy covers portion of childcare costs based on income; family pays sliding-scale co-payment
