About This Program

Oklahoma homeowners who occupy their home as their primary residence may receive the Homestead Exemption, which reduces the assessed value of the property by $1,000. An Additional (Double) Homestead Exemption provides a second $1,000 reduction for income-qualifying households. Together these reduce annual property tax bills and must be applied for through the county assessor's office.
