About This Program

The IRA's Residential Clean Energy Credit gives Providence homeowners a 30% federal tax credit with no dollar cap for qualifying solar panels, geothermal heat pumps, battery storage, and solar water heaters. Rhode Island's net metering program and REG solar incentives can be layered on top for comprehensive solar economics. The credit is nonrefundable but can be carried forward.
