About This Program

Providence provides property tax exemptions to qualifying veterans under state law (RI Gen. Law 44-3-4). Veterans with 100% service-connected disability through the VA receive an exemption of $614 on their property taxes. Additional exemption amounts apply for other qualifying veteran categories. Widow(er)s of qualifying veterans also receive exemptions. Contact the Providence Tax Assessor's Office for the full schedule and application.
