About This Program

Washington DC's OSSE administers Head Start and Early Head Start through community-based organizations. DC also offers universal Pre-K for all 3- and 4-year-olds through DC Public Schools at no cost. Head Start programs provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and family support for income-eligible DC families.
