About This Program

Established by Maryland's Brighter Tomorrow Act of 2024, the Maryland Solar Access Program provides reimbursement grants of $750 per kilowatt of solar capacity (capped at $7,500) to eligible homeowners who install rooftop solar PV systems. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for FY2026, with the portal currently open. Applicants submit an initial application, install their system within 180 days of award, then submit for reimbursement.

Maximum grant for a 10 kW system at $750/kWDC; actual amount depends on system size.
