Free in-person help filing the Nebraska Homestead Exemption application for seniors 65+, disabled persons, and disabled veterans. VAS (Volunteers Assisting Seniors) helps navigate paperwork and income documentation. Filing window: February 1 through June 30. Over 800 Douglas County residents served recently, saving ~$1.75M in property taxes.
