About This Program

The City of San José Housing Department provides 0% interest deferred loans to income-qualified homeowners to repair health and safety issues, including roofing, plumbing, heating, electrical, and accessibility upgrades. Loans are administered through Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley and Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. After year 10, 10% of the loan is forgiven annually until fully forgiven at year 20.
