About This Program

Ohio Residential PACE allows homeowners to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements through a voluntary property tax assessment, repaid over 5-20 years on the property tax bill. Ohio is one of only a few states with R-PACE authorization. Eligible improvements include HVAC, insulation, windows, roofing, and solar. Homeowners must obtain written consent from their existing mortgage holder before proceeding.

Financing (not a grant). No down payment; repaid via property tax bill. If home is sold, repayment obligation transfers to new owner. Available primarily in Summit, Franklin, and Lucas counties.
