About This Program

NM Energy$mart is New Mexico's federally funded Weatherization Assistance Program, administered by Housing New Mexico (MFA). Qualified households receive free installation of energy-saving measures including insulation, air sealing, HVAC upgrades, and minor health-and-safety repairs. Recipients of SSI or TANF are automatically income-eligible.

Average weatherization job value is approximately $6,500-$10,000 per household depending on home conditions.
