NM Energy Conservation & Management Division (EMNRD)
New Mexico's federally funded Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program provides point-of-sale rebates on qualifying electrification upgrades for income-eligible households. Low-income households (≤80% AMI) receive 100% of project costs up to $14,000; moderate-income (80-150% AMI) receive 50% up to $14,000. Launched in September 2024 using IRA funds.
Low-income households may receive up to $8,000 for heat pump HVAC and additional amounts for water heaters, insulation, and panels, totaling up to $14,000.
Deadline: Through September 30, 2031 (or until funds exhausted)
