About This Program

USDA Rural Development's Section 504 program offers grants of up to $10,000 for seniors age 62 and older to remove health and safety hazards, and low-interest loans up to $40,000 for income-qualified rural homeowners. Combined loan/grant packages can reach $50,000. Property must be in a USDA-eligible rural area.
