About This Program

The NCHFA Urgent Repair Program provides deferred, forgivable loans of up to $15,000 for emergency home repairs to very low-income (≤50% AMI) owner-occupied households with special needs members — elderly, disabled, veterans, or children under 6 with lead hazards. Funds flow through local nonprofit partners including Rebuilding Together Greater Charlotte.

Maximum program award; most projects use full amount for emergency repairs.
