About This Program

Piedmont Natural Gas (a Duke Energy subsidiary) offers rebates to current Mecklenburg County gas customers replacing natural gas equipment with higher-efficiency models. Rebates range from $50 for storage water heaters (UEF ≥ 0.64) up to $225 for 95%+ AFUE furnaces, and up to $200 for tankless water heaters (UEF ≥ 0.92). Not available for new construction or fuel-switching.
