Charlotte homeowners can combine the 30% federal Solar ITC with Duke Energy Progress's residential solar rebate program. Duke Energy has offered rebates of $0.25-$0.60 per watt for residential solar installations (check current availability). North Carolina also has a 35% state solar tax credit for residential properties (capped at $10,500). Combined incentives can offset 60%+ of system cost.
