About This Program

The VA HISA grant covers medically necessary home modifications for veterans receiving VA care. Veterans with a service-connected disability rated 50%+ may receive up to $6,800; veterans without service-connected disability may receive up to $2,000. Covers ramps, roll-in showers, doorway widening, and similar modifications required for medical treatment.

Maximum award for service-connected veterans at 50%+ rating.
