VA Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) Grant

About This Program

The VA Special Housing Adaptation grant provides up to $25,350 (FY 2026) to veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities such as blindness or loss of hand/foot use to adapt their home or a family member's home. May be used up to 6 times within the lifetime cap. Smaller TRA add-on of $9,100 available for temporary residence adaptation.
