About This Program

Loans (1% interest, 20-year term) up to $40,000 for very-low-income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize homes in eligible rural areas. Grants up to $10,000 (age 62+ only) to remove health/safety hazards. Combined loan+grant up to $50,000. Most rural portions of Montgomery County may qualify — verify address on USDA eligibility map. Dayton city proper typically NOT eligible.
