About This Program

HUD's national Lead Hazard Reduction grant program provides municipalities and states with $4–7M each to eliminate lead-based paint hazards in pre-1978 private housing. In Denver, DDPHE receives this funding and offers free lead risk assessment and abatement to income-eligible households where children under 6 or pregnant women reside.
