About This Program

The Amy Young Barrier Removal Program provides one-time grants of up to $22,500 to qualifying households with persons with disabilities to modify homes for improved accessibility and elimination of hazardous conditions. Both homeowners and renters may qualify. TDHCA contracts with nonprofits and local governments to administer the program. Applicants must include a person with a disability and household income must not exceed 80% of AMI.
