About This Program

The VA's Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant provides up to $121,812 for FY 2025 to help veterans with severe service-connected disabilities build, buy, or modify a home for independent living. The Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grant provides up to $24,405 for less severe disabilities. Veterans may use grant funds up to 6 times over their lifetime.
