About This Program

Section 8(y) Homeownership Program allows Housing Choice Voucher holders to use their voucher toward mortgage payments instead of rent. Non-elderly/non-disabled participants: up to 15 years of assistance. Must be employed 30+ hours/week with income at least $15,000 (unless 62+ or disabled). First-time buyer or not owned in 3 years.

Must be current HACM HCV holder; employed 30+ hrs/week
