About This Program

The HISA grant provides veterans with medically necessary home modifications for accessibility and disability-related needs. Veterans with service-connected disabilities can receive up to $6,800 lifetime; non-service-connected conditions receive up to $2,000. Covered improvements include ramps, roll-in showers, grab bars, doorway widening, and plumbing/electrical modifications for medical equipment.
