About This Program

The VA SAH grant (up to $126,526) helps veterans with severe service-connected disabilities build, buy, or modify a home to be barrier-free and independently livable. The SHA grant (up to $25,350) helps adapt a home for certain service-connected conditions. Both grants can be used up to three times within their lifetime limits. Amounts are adjusted annually by federal law. Can be used up to 3 times up to the lifetime maximum for SAH or SHA.
