About This Program

New Jersey's Comfort Partners program, administered through the NJ Clean Energy Program, provides free comprehensive energy efficiency improvements, including insulation, air sealing, heating system repair or replacement, refrigerator replacement, LED lighting, and health and safety measures, to income-qualified NJ households with no out-of-pocket cost, copay, or application fee. Eligible residents at ≤250% FPL receive up to $14,000 in energy upgrades plus up to $2,500 in health and safety work. The program serves single-family and small multifamily (1-4 unit) homes that are at least 5 years old.

Maximum value of upgrades installed at no cost; typical projects average $3,000-$8,000.
