About This Program

The VA Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant provides up to $126,526 in FY 2026 to help veterans with severe service-connected disabilities create a barrier-free living environment, such as a wheelchair-accessible home. The grant can be used to construct, purchase, or remodel a home to meet the veteran's disability-related needs. Veterans may use the grant up to three times within the lifetime maximum.
