About This Program

The My Safe Florida Home Program provides free wind mitigation inspections and matching grants for hurricane-hardening improvements statewide. For FY 2025-2026, low-income Orlando homeowners (≤80% AMI) receive the full $10,000 with no contribution required. The home must be insured for $700,000 or less, have a homestead exemption, and a building permit issued before January 1, 2008.

Low-income homeowners: full $10,000 grant. Moderate-income: contribute $1, state provides $2, up to $10,000 total.
