About This Program

California's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income households pay heating and cooling costs and provides weatherization services. In Sacramento County, Community Resource Project administers the program. Eligible households receive assistance with energy bills and may qualify for free weatherization upgrades. California received $212 million in FY 2026 LIHEAP funding.
