About This Program

SMUD's Energy Assistance Program Rate provides monthly discounts on electricity bills for income-eligible customers based on federal poverty level: up to $105/month for households at 0–50% FPL, $42/month at 51–100% FPL, $20/month at 101–150% FPL, and $10/month at 151–200% FPL. EAPR customers also qualify for free Energy Saver Bundle home assessment and free EV charger installation.
