About This Program

SMUD offers rebates of up to $3,000 for qualifying heat pump HVAC replacements. Variable-stage gas-to-electric systems receive up to $3,000; two-stage gas-to-electric systems receive $2,000. Systems must be installed by an SMUD Contractor Network member and connected to a qualifying Wi-Fi-enabled smart thermostat. Minimum efficiency ratings apply (15.2 SEER2 or higher).
