About This Program

The VA SAH grant helps veterans and service members with severe service-connected disabilities adapt or build a home to accommodate their disability. The maximum grant for FY 2026 is $126,526. Eligible disabilities include loss or loss of use of both legs, certain blindness conditions, and severe burns. The grant can be used up to 6 times over a lifetime.
