FHA Title I loans are government-insured home improvement loans available through private lenders with no minimum credit score or income requirements set by HUD. Homeowners can borrow up to $25,000 for a single-family home for up to 20 years. Loans over $7,500 must be secured by the property; improvements must substantially protect or improve the basic livability of the home.
