About This Program

The VA HISA grant provides funds for home improvements and structural alterations medically necessary for veterans to continue or receive outpatient treatment. Veterans with a service-connected condition rated 50%+ can receive up to $6,800; non-service-connected veterans can receive up to $2,000. HISA covers items like bathroom modifications, ramps, and widened doorways.
