About This Program

The VA Special Housing Adaptation grant is available to veterans with specific service-connected disabilities including blindness in both eyes or the loss/loss of use of both hands. The SHA provides up to $25,350 in FY2026 to adapt a current home or purchase a new one. Veterans may use this grant up to 3 times up to the maximum dollar amount.
