About This Program

The VA Home Improvements and Structural Alterations (HISA) grant provides up to $6,800 for veterans with service-connected disabilities to modify their homes for accessibility, including ramps, grab bars, bathroom modifications, and entry alterations. Non-service-connected modifications may receive up to $2,000. Veterans apply using VA Form 10-0103 through the Hampton VA Medical Center's Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service.
