About This Program

The VA Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant provides up to $126,526 in FY 2026 to help veterans with severe service-connected disabilities create a barrier-free home environment. The grant can be used for construction, purchase, or remodeling and may be used up to three times within the lifetime maximum. Hampton Roads veterans may apply through the Hampton VA Medical Center.
