Provides funding through state and local governments to reduce future disaster losses following a Presidential Disaster Declaration. Homeowners apply indirectly through local governments, which submit projects on their behalf. FEMA covers 75% of eligible costs. Eligible activities include home elevation, wind hardening, safe room installation, and other mitigation measures. Contact GEMA/HS for current open programs.
