About This Program

Provides up to $6,800 lifetime for service-connected disabilities (or $2,000 for non-service-connected) for medically necessary home modifications including accessible entrances, roll-in showers, accessible kitchen/bathroom counters, and accessible driveway improvements. A VA physician must prescribe the modifications. Applied for through the local VA Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service.
