IHDA Home Repair and Accessibility Program (HRAP)

Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) / Affordable Housing Trust Fund

active home-repair

About This Program

IHDA allocated $16 million through its Affordable Housing Trust Fund to local governments and nonprofits, who then issue grants to low- and extremely low-income Illinois homeowners for health and safety repairs, accessibility modifications, and energy efficiency upgrades. Homeowners do not apply directly to IHDA — they contact a local administering agency. The 2025 round was funded in February 2025 for a two-year program period.

Typical grant depends on scope of work identified by administering agency; no set household cap published.
