About This Program

HB24-1457 created a pilot grant fund of up to $200,000/year (FY2025–26 and FY2026–27) for CDPHE to award grants to local governments in rural Colorado for asbestos and lead paint abatement in residential structures. Denver city residents do not qualify directly (rural communities only); however, residents in rural areas surrounding Denver metro may benefit through their county or municipality.

Grants go to local governments, not directly to homeowners. Residents in eligible rural jurisdictions should contact their county or municipality.
